The Best Way to Discover Cyprus Nightlife

Basement, Limassol
Though Basement is the oldest club on the strip, it was recently renovated and is now one of the trendiest spots in town. With glowing purple décor and a neon lit dancefloor, it looks like something out of a 1980’s sci-fi film. The crowd are mostly young and the music is pumping R&B beats. Cover charge is cheap at around €5–10, but the drinks can be pricey so it’s best suited for an end-of-the-night boogie.

Timothy’s Art Bar, Paphos
For a laid back but enjoyable evening, Timothy’s Art Bar in Paphos is number one. With exotic, bohemian décor and fantastic live music, this little bar fills up quick for good reason. The music ranges from energetic live bands to Indian sitar musicians, and there’s even delicious food. Try some of the owner’s homemade Spanish inspired tapas to take the edge off that glass of Zivania, this national Cypriot drink is 45% proof!

Secrets Freedom, Larnaca
Secrets Freedom is Cyprus’ biggest gay club, though everyone is welcome at this fabulous venue. Offering a range of fantastic theme nights and the resident DJ spinning a mix of club and Greek tunes all night, you’ll be sure to have a wild time. Cover charge is €10 with a drink but the club often offers €20 open bar nights for a real party atmosphere.

Felix Cocktail Bar, Paphos
A friendly and fun bar in the centre of Paphos, Felix Cocktail Bar offers delicious and exotic drinks, karaoke and live music. Often centre stage to a range of tribute acts, you can enjoy the music of Michael Jackson, Queen, Bon Jovi, The Beatles, and Diana Ross. Try the Felix Special cocktail for a deliciously dangerous drink.

Castle Club, Aiya Napa
No list of Cyprus nightlife would be complete without one of the booming Ayia Napa clubs, and as the largest club in Cyprus, Castle Club is by far the most impressive. Dominating the Ayia Napa club scene for over 20 years, Castle Club boasts three huge dance rooms, 14 bars, and an open air chill out terrace. World-famous DJs are a regular occurrence and cover charge starts at only €5–10, so you’ll definitely get your money’s worth and a night you (hopefully) won’t forget.
