With several decades of celebrations under their belts, the world’s LGBT Pride festivals just keep getting bigger, better, and prouder, but which ones are the best?

LA Pride

When?  12th June 2020

Set in West Hollywood, the number one gay spot, LA Pride is as sparkly and fabulous as its hometown with guests like Ke$ha and Channing Tatum to get the party started. With its 48th year just gone by in a riot of colour and fun, LA really knows how to celebrate.

When? July 2020

London Pride is one huge party in the capital with DJs in Trafalgar Square, a women’s stage and a cabaret stage. If that’s not enough the celebrations continue on in London’s top clubs, with many putting on Pride after parties for the true party animals amongst you.

Also in its 47th year, San Fran Pride is the city that birthed the rainbow flag. Now it has over 200 parade participants, 300 exhibitors, and more than 20 stages and venues to dance the day (and night) away. The parade is world-famous and welcomes regular entries from the ‘Dykes on Bikes’ or Women’s Motorcycle Contingent (WMC), drag queens, ‘Leather Pride’, and even famous politicians in the mix – anything goes at SF Pride.

Las Vegas Pride

When? 12th October 2019

Las Vegas, the home of showgirls and excess is home to one of Americas biggest LGBT celebrations.  In it’s 35th year, Sin city promises to deliver one of it’s biggest festivals yet!  The city’s Pride celebration which offers up acts like Britney Spears, a larger than life pool party on the strip and an official club party at Vegas’ number one gay nightclub, Pirhana.

When? June 2020

Starting as a gay picnic in 1971, Pride New Orleans has grown into a huge celebration with a parade down the famous Bourbon Street. Once a year in June the city swaps its jazz for some dance hits and every club and bar is full to the rafters with people from all walks of life.

This month long celebration is so fabulous it was chosen as the host of the 2016 WorldPride celebration. With a huge street fair, parade and parties going on for weeks, the Canadian LGBT scene is really on the up.

NYC Pride

When? 28th June 2020

New York is the daddy of all Prides with a rich history and five main events including: The March, The Rally, PrideFest, Dance on the Pier, and Rapture on the River. The whole city lights up for this event and many clubs and bars offer deals and events to keep you celebrating for days. The city that never sleeps has also been chosen to host the 2019 WorldPride celebration.

Madrid Orgullo

When? July 2020

Madrid Pride was chosen to host the 2017 World Pride for its sizzling atmosphere, six stages, and wealth of arts, music and events over its five day extravaganza. It’s also Europe’s largest Pride event, so you know you’ll be in for a good time.

Held in early August a little later than most Prides, you’ve no excuse for missing this colourful celebration. The parade takes place on the famous canals of the Dutch capital with each festive float literally floating along in vibrant boats – what it lacks in size it makes up for in magic.


Sao Paulo Gay Pride

Named the largest Pride parade in the world by Guinness World Records, Sao Paulo Pride is a month long celebration complete with colourful costumes, parades, performances, plays, music and more for over 4million people – now that’s a Pride festival.


Manchester Pride

Of course we couldn’t write a post like this without mentioning Manchester Pride! Manchester Pride is an annual gay pride festival and parade held each summer in the city of Manchester, England, it’s Big Weekend is becoming legendary with four solid days of partying.  It is one of the longest running in the country and attracts thousands of visitors to the city’s famous gay village, Canal Street, each year.
