Goa's Most Romantic Spots

Forget Tuscany and Paris, the new place for romance is Goa, India. From sunset river cruises to swimming in waterfalls, plus plenty of decadent dishes to share, Goa is the perfect place for couples to add some magic to their holiday romance.

Mandrem Beach
This stunning and secluded beach is situated in North Goa and offers a paradise setting to take a romantic walk along the shores. Popular with honeymooners, the sleepy village of Mandrem is the perfect place to get away from it all. With local restaurants serving traditional delicacies nearby, you can enjoy a romantic dinner for two, if you can tear yourself away from those clear, blue seas.

Café Chocolatti
Café Chocolatti in Candolim is a quaint little teahouse set in a lush green garden. Relax with an afternoon tea in this beautiful setting and try some of the delicious snacks on offer. With familiar foods like paninis, crepes and super salads, plus decadently delicious cakes like Victoria Sponge and coffee and walnut cake, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Get a bag of the fantastic homemade chocolate truffles as an indulgent souvenir – we won’t blame you if they don’t make it home.

Mandovi River Cruise
One of the most romantic activities you can try is a cruise along the Mandovi River. Book with GTDC, who offer a range of daily hour-long cruises including evening dinner cruises and dolphin-watching trips. The cruises depart from the Santa Monica Jetty, next to Mandovi Bridge every day, and are the perfect way to enjoy some live Goan folk music and dancing while you watch the stunning scenery of India float by.

Dudhsagar Waterfalls
Dudhsagar Waterfalls are the highest waterfalls in India at 2,000 feet high. The word ‘Dudhsagar’ means ‘sea of milk’, named after the vast amount of white foam that forms when the huge falls hit the water. Start with a 10min hike through lush plants and trees, and then cool off with a dip in the beautiful pool beneath these incredible falls. Just watch out that the native monkeys don’t steal your packed lunch while you swim!
